TJ Brodie and NHLPA Goals & Dreams donate 20 sets of equipment to Dresden Minor Hockey Association
This is the second donation TJ Brodie has made with NHLPA Goals & Dreams.

TORONTO/DRESDEN, ON (May 2, 2025) – The National Hockey League Players’ Association announced that TJ Brodie and NHLPA Goals & Dreams have donated 20 complete sets of new hockey equipment through the players’ charitable program to the Dresden Minor Hockey Association. This donation will go towards outfitting new hockey players who are registering to play next season in Dresden, Ontario.
“Supporting my hometown of Dresden by donating 20 sets of hockey equipment through NHLPA Goals & Dreams means giving more local kids the opportunity to play the game we all love,” said TJ Brodie, NHLPA member and Chicago Blackhawks defenceman. “It’s an honour to give back to the community and help young athletes pursue the same game that has provided so much to me and my family."
The Dresden Minor Hockey Association is holding their new-to-hockey registration on May 6 for the 2025-26 season. While the association, in partnership with Gooday Let’s Play, has helped subsidize registration for 74 U7 players, the latest equipment donation from NHLPA Goals & Dreams will provide further assistance for U7 and U9 players who are new to the game and in need of equipment.
“Dresden Minor Hockey is proud to partner with DMHA alumni and local hockey hero TJ Brodie as part of the 25th anniversary of the NHLPA Goals & Dreams program,” said Ian Avery, Dresden Minor Hockey president. “On Tuesday, May 6th, DMHA volunteers will make Jr. Kings hockey more accessible and inclusive by removing the financial and technical barriers in getting young kids involved in our U7 programs, providing free equipment courtesy of the NHLPA, and technical assistance to parents who have never navigated the steps to register. Many thanks to the Brodie family and the NHLPA Goals & Dreams program for supporting grassroots hometown hockey in Dresden!”
Brodie and NHLPA Goals & Dreams previously donated 25 sets of hockey equipment to Dresden Minor Hockey in 2022-23, which led to 29 new registrations for U7 players that season.
