At the heart of the highest scoring defence corps in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff race, is Ryan Ellis.
Ellis (3-5—8) and the rest of Nashville's blueliners have scored seven goals in the postseason so far to lead the league.
Ellis extended his six-game point streak by wiring home a rolling puck to open the scoring of the Predators' 3-1 win over the St. Louis Blues Sunday.
The streak is the longest in franchise history by a defenceman in the postseason. He also sits one game back of the Predators’ longest playoff scoring streak – Colin Wilson’s nine-point, seven game run in 2016.
With the victory, the Preds took a 2-1 series lead.
Nashville looks to keep rolling Tuesday evening on home ice at Bridgestone Arena.
