Tomas Nosek scored the first game-winning goal of his NHL career to help the Vegas Golden Knights open the Stanley Cup Final with a 6-4 victory in Monday night’s Game 1.

An understandable reaction to a wild game that saw four lead changes along the way to the Golden Knights scoring three unanswered goals.
Nosek potted the decisive goal with a one-timer at 9:44 of the third period and went on to seal the victory by notching an insurance empty-netter with three seconds left on the clock, earning his first multi-goal game in the regular season or playoffs.
With just 97 regular season and playoff games combined, the rookie has three goals to his name as part of five points over 13 outings this postseason.
However, albeit on a grander stage this time around, coming up big in the playoffs is nothing new for Nosek. The Czech forward, who kicked off his career with the Detroit Red Wings, scored the game-winning goal of the 2017 Calder Cup Final for the Grand Rapids Griffins. He did so while leading his team in postseason scoring and ranked third among all AHL scorers in playoff action (10-12–22).
