Adam McQuaid knows he’s had to make a lot of sacrifices in order to keep hockey his number one priority. He also knows it wasn’t just him who had to make tough choices, his family also had to give up a lot of time to help him achieve his goals.
In this video, Adam reflects on some of the tougher choices he had to make growing up wanting to play professional hockey. He’d often say no to hanging out with friends or going to parties because he knew he had to be up early for a game or a practice. He also said moving away from home at such a young age was a difficult sacrifice for both him and his family, but that it all paid off for him in the end.
