Playoff Performer of the Night | Martin Jones

Martin Jones turned aside 30 shots in a 2-1 win Wednesday night, going a perfect 4-0 to help the San Jose Sharks sweep their Western Conference First Round against the Anaheim Ducks.

The 28-year-old earned the game's first star with outstanding saves all night, but none more impressive than his highway robbery of a stretch save that stopped Corey Perry seeking a tie game on the Ducks power-play.

It was hats off to Jones all around, even from the opposing side's captain.

"We came at them pretty hard, obviously a couple of bounces here and there and it's a different hockey game," Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf told reporters. "Their goaltender [Martin Jones] played absolutely outstanding. We just couldn't get it by him."

Jones' win was the 20th of his NHL postseason career, and it moved him past Antti Niemi and into sole possession of second place on the franchise's all-time list in the category.

With the 'Duck Hunt' behind them, the Sharks now lay in wait for their second round series to begin. They'll be facing a hot Vegas Golden Knights team that also swept their first round series, backed by an equally fierce goaltender in Marc-Andre Fleury.
