Craig Anderson's season continues to culminate as one of his most impressive to date after the netminder turned aside 45 shots in a 2-1 win for the Ottawa Senators to force Game 7 in their Eastern Conference Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Anderson kept the Senators' hopes alive Tuesday night by surviving a 22-shot second period, surrendering the Penguins' lone goal of the game to Evgeni Malkin. Bobby Ryan responded on the power-play to even the score 1-1 while ending Ottawa's scoreless 0-29 run on the man advantage.

Mike Hoffman turned in the game-winner with a rocket shot while Anderson turned aside every remaining shot he faced in the third period, most notably this blocker save on a wrister from Sidney Crosby in all alone.

Anderson's performance becomes even more formidable when factoring in that he was pulled from Sunday's Game 5 in a Senators loss.

"The moment I got yanked in that game, it's gone," Anderson told reporters. "You can't change what happened in the past. So from that moment on, you have to look forward and get ready for the next one. So as soon as that happens and you leave the rink, you put it behind you."

Anderson was indeed ready for the next one, and with Tuesday's performance, proved that the pressure of staring down an elimination game just brings out his best.

Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final with be played Thursday when the series heads to Pittsburgh with a trip to the Stanley Cup Final on the line.
