Jonathan Marchessault helped buoy the Vegas Golden Knights' latest winning streak to five games with a trio of multipoint outings (1-2–3 in each appearance) while leading the league in assists (6) and points (9).
The Knights kicked off their week on the road in Anaheim with a 4-2 win over the Ducks. Marchessault opened the scoring for Vegas with a power-play goal before earning the primary assist on teammate James Neal's game-winner. The forward was firing on all cylinders as he finished the game with three points (1-2–3) while recording eight shots on net and earning third star of the game.
With the San Jose Sharks visiting T-Mobile Arena Friday night, Marchessault demonstrated some patience around the crease that paid off as he netted the game-winning goal 1:21 into overtime. Marchessault logged 20:33 of ice time, second most among Golden Knights forwards as he skated away with an identical three-point night (1-2–3) stat line and third star of the game honours once more.
"We played good in overtime," Marchessault said to reporters postgame. "We didn't give them much chances, not even one shot, I think, so it's positive. I just tried to manage the puck (before the winning goal), and I got a lucky bounce there."
The 5-4 victory was the team's eighth in a row at home and handed the Knights another impressive accomplishment by matching the NHL record for longest home winning streak by an expansion team in its first year.

Vegas hit the road to Arizona Saturday in search of their fifth consecutive win with another potential record on the horizon. Marchessault put up his third consecutive three-point performance (1-2–3) and earned first star of the game in a 4-2 victory to help the Golden Knights become the quickest NHL expansion team to win 15 games in its inaugural season.
The Quebec-born forward led the league with six assists and nine points over the week, and now ranks second among Vegas' scorers this season with 21 points. His 13 assists in 2017-18 place him in a tie for the most on the Golden Knights' roster, alongside teammates David Perron and Reilly Smith.
