Over 18 weeks in early 2012, five top NHL players were given BlackBerry PlayBook tablets with a simple goal: film everything. Bobby Ryan, Joffrey Lupul, Martin Biron, Scott Hartnell and Michael Grabner took their mission to heart, filming family life, life on the road, shopping trips and autograph sessions. All the action captured by players was recorded in glorious HD and edited into program highlights.

Fans got to do more than watch: they also got to call the shots. A weekly poll determined the Fan’s Choice video, based on capsule descriptions of what players had recorded. In Q&A sessions, players responded to fan-submitted questions and challenges. Each week wrapped up with the Best of the Week, where the editors posted their favorite footage from everything they’d collected.
