It was a good week for Dustin Byfuglien, who is playing huge minutes for the Winnipeg Jets in the first year of his five-year contract extension.

Byfuglien kicked off a four-game point streak in a Tuesday matchup against the New Jersey Devils, in which he assisted on the first goal of the night, by Mark Scheifele, in a 3-2 win.

The burly D-man picked up another assist, while clocking over 30 minutes of ice time, with the Edmonton Oilers in town before the team had a day off to recuperate from a 6-3 loss.

Winnipeg hit the road for a back-to-back starting in St. Louis, where Byfuglien’s set-up skills came to the forefront. After Patrik Laine forced overtime for the Jets, Byfgulien dished a well-timed saucer pass to Laine, who found Brian Little for the game-winning-goal in extra minutes.

It was on to Chicago where the Minnesota native capped off his week by assisting on the first goal of the game, and turning in a performance deemed worthy of "Third Star of the Game", as the Jets ended the week with a 2-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Big Buff continues to lead Jets defencemen with 16 points, and all his teammates in ice time by almost a full four minutes, at roughly 28 minutes per game.
